St. Stephen’s Basilica, or Szent István-bazilika as expressed in Hungarian, is a Roman Catholic basilica in Budapest, Hungary. It was named in honor of the first King of Hungary (c 975–1038), namely Stephen, whose right hand is housed in the reliquary. Before 1920 it was the 6th largest church building in Hungary, but today it is the third largest church building in present-day Hungary.
