Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Ultra High Relief Silver Round

Update: 2 oz Ultra High Relief Round Plastic Capsules are now available at Provident Metals

The IRA approved Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Ultra High Relief Silver Round is now available on pre-sale at prices that should sit right with coin collectors and silver stackers alike.

The ultra high relief Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Round, like the previously released Elemetal 1 oz Silver Round, the replacement of the discontinued OPM 1 oz Silver Round, will be produced by the Elemetal Mint. This mint is a collaborative effort between Ohio Precious Metals (OPM), NTR Metals and Provident Metals with the aim to offer high quality, investment grade bullion at cost-effective prices. It should therefore not come as much of surprise that each of the partners bring unique attributes and assets to the table:

  • OPM brings production capacity and LBMA minting status to the table.
  • NTR brings an extensive minting legacy to the table.
  • Provident Metals brings sales experience to the table and will for one ensure that Elemetal Mint products are offered at the most cost-effective prices and delivered in a timely manner.

Obverse – Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Round

The obverse of each ultra high relief Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Round features the inscription: “NO PREY NO PAY”, which means that if the privateer or “corsair” failed to acquire valuable commodities during a raid, no commission would be received. The phrase was used by pirates and privateers alike to describe conditions under which participants were expected to join raids. A skull over a ship’s wheel and the inscription “2 OZ FINE SILVER .999” are also featured on the obverse of the Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Round.

Reverse – Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Round

The reverse of each Elemetal Privateer Silver Round features a breathtaking scene which includes: The stern of a pirate ship, rough seawaters, fluttering sails and the moon is peeking out of clouds.

What are the differences between Privateers and Pirates?

Privateers, also known as “corsairs”, were private persons or ships authorized by government to raid foreign vessels during wartime. Authorization came in the form of letters of marque and reprisal that were in essence government issued licenses that authorized, not only the attack and capture of enemy vessels, but also the bringing of such vessels before admiralty courts for condemnation and sale.

Pirates, unlike privateers, are unlicensed, non-state actors who typically performed acts of robbery and criminal violence at sea. Piracy continues to present a substantial challenge to authorities today.

Ordering and Pricing

The Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Round is available on pre-sale at Provident Metals and Aydin Coins. Aydin Coins offers free shipping on any quantity ordered, while Provident Metals offers free shipping on orders of $99 or more. The prices offered by Aydin Coins on these silver rounds seem to be much higher though than the prices offered by Provident Metals, especially considering that Provident Metals will be offering an introductory price of $3.75 over spot per ounce for a limited time.

Thus, if you cannot afford to spend $99 or more on Elemetal 2 oz Privateer Silver Rounds, you may want to get these from Aydin Coins. If you can afford to spend $99 or more, then Provident Metals will probably be your best bet.

Packaging

Individual rounds bought from Provident Metals get shipped in poly bags and quantities of 10 or more ship in plastic tubes.

Zombucks Slayed Dollar – 8th Release in Zombucks: Currency of the Apocalypse Series

Provident Metals has released the design of the Zombucks Slayed Dollar 1 oz Silver Round – the 8th silver bullion round that will be issued in the Zombucks: Currency of the Apocalypse Series. The second last instalment in this popular series depicts Lady Liberty in a seated position, rotten to the core; a zombified, spine-chilling version of the United States silver trade dollar (1873–1885).

The Zombucks Slayed Dollar, and the previously released Zombucks Starving Liberty, certainly count among the most stunning and detailed designs we’ve seen in the series so far.

The Obverse

The obverse of the Zombucks Slayed Dollar depicts a left facing, decomposing Lady Liberty, sitting on a throne of skeletons, holding a scythe, instead of an olive branch as in the original design by William Barber. Also gone is the bale of wheat she sits on in the original design and the banner in her left hand no longer reads “LIBERTY”, but “Z FIFTY”. The banner below Lady Liberty is also inscribed with “SLAYED DOLLAR” instead of “IN GOD WE TRUST”.

The Reverse

The reverse features the well-known zombie infused biohazard symbol along with inscriptions of “ZOMBUCKS,” “CURRENCY OF THE APOCALYPSE,” and the round’s weight and purity, namely “1 oz .999 FINE SILVER”.

The previously round issued in the series, namely the Zombucks Starving Liberty, is still available for sale, but only for a very limited time. Sales of these are expected to discontinue after April 1st, when the total mintage number is also expected to be released.

Morgue Anne Error Silver Bullion Round

The only error round in the series that I am aware of so far is the Zombucks Morgue Anne Error 1 oz Silver Bullion Round (BU), which has the metal inscribed as “Copper” instead of “Silver” on a limited number of Zombucks Morgue Anne 1 oz Silver Bullion Rounds (BU).

Zombucks Morgue Anne Error Silver Bullion Round

The exact number of Zombucks Morgue Anne error silver bullion rounds remains a mystery, but a guesstimate places the total minted at only 300, which makes it extremely limited.

Newly Released: Provident Prospector 1 oz Silver Round

If you haven’t seen the newly released Provident Prospector 1 oz Silver Round, then you haven’t seen anything yet. This BU silver round is bound to get the hearts of both silver stackers and coin collectors pumping again.

gold panning

The Provident Prospector 1 oz Silver Round is absolutely stunning to say the least. I thought we had something in the Engelhard Prospector 1 oz Silver Round, but boy was I wrong! The obverse of the Provident Prospector Silver Round features a prospector in a rocky valley, not just any prospector, but a gold prospector out of the mid-19th century holding a pickaxe and a gold pan. This while a pack mule can be seen to his right and the inscription PROSPECTOR can be seen overhead. One would think that the reverse will not be anything as spectacular, but what a pleasant surprise. The reverse features a rope, sextant and a compass placed on top of a map. This while the map rests on what seems to be a wooden table or a wooden surface of some sort. It is also inscribed with ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.

Needless to say, the amount of detail on both the obverse and reverse is simply breathtaking. The Provident Prospector 1 oz Silver Round is certainly a keeper. I don’t know about you, but this bad boy is definitely going on my silver bullion shopping list.

Zombucks: Feast Dollar 1 oz Silver Round

Excellent news is that the Zombucks: Feast Dollar 1 oz Silver Round is now available for sale at Provident Metals. If this doesn’t make your day, what will?

Yes, if you’re a die-hard fan of the Zombucks: Currency of the Apocalypse series such as myself, then you want to head over to Provident and sink your teeth into the latest release in the series. The 2018 Feast Dollar 1 oz silver round, the sixth release in the series, depicts a decomposing Lady Liberty in a tribute to the Peace Silver Dollar, which was released after WWI to celebrate the restoration of peace. You don’t have to love zombies or be a war monger to love this fitting tribute, especially given our time and age. Needless to say, the zombies will certainly not get it, but you certainly do. Get yours here.
