The mintage of this $50 beaver coin will be limited to 100,000 coins, which certainly doesn’t make it highly limited, but still sought after. It is expected to sell out, especially considering the success of the previous two coins in the $50 for $50 Coin Series so far. The polar bear coin has sold out, while about 80% of the snowy owl coins have sold up date.

The reverse of the $50 beaver coin, which was designed by Emily Damstra, features a swimming beaver with the top part of its head above water and its tail in the air in a mid-flip. In addition, the scenery in the background features a wolf and forested shoreline. It certainly creates the feeling of a scene somewhere in Canada, especially considering that the beaver is an emblem of Canada and also the largest rodent that can be found there.
